PORN CAUSES ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION????????

(Not that I’m concerned, I’m posting this for other guys.)

A recent article in Buzzfeed proposed that watching pornography may lead to erectile dysfunction. It told the story of Dominic and Angus, two boys who started watching porn in their early teens and found difficulty getting and maintaining an erection when they made the move from cyber girls to real ones.

The article goes on to state that “Porn-Induced Erectile Dysfunction” is the inability to get an erection due to a “high exposure to pornography.”

I wondered if they were implying that to avoid this condition you shouldn’t watch porn when you’re high, but realized, no, it’s just typical Buzzfeed’s lack of editorial skill. But, back to the main point – PORN CAN CAUSE ED??!!

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

This is TERRIBLE news. (Well, not for me, of course, but for other guys.)

The story is a load of crap. First clue – it was at Buzzfeed. And here’s the REALLY good news, culled from an article at Men’s Health, which did an article on the Buzzfeed story: “There are three laboratory studies that have shown sex film viewing is unrelated to erectile functioning,” said Nicole Prause, Ph.D, founder of Liberos, a sex research and bio-tech company in Los Angeles.

Now THAT’S a load off my mind.
