Erectile Dysfunction Frequently Asked Questions

We strive to deliver outstanding service to every patient, every time you visit us. We’re passionate about what we do and we’ll take great care of you. Please read through our frequently asked questions below or give us a call so we can answer any other questions that you might have.

For sexual performance problems such as Erectile Dysfunction, Premature Ejaculation, and Low Testosterone, why should I see a physician at American Male Medical Clinics instead of my own physician or a urologist?

At American Male Medical Clinics we focus exclusively on Erection Dysfunction (the ability to achieve and/or maintain an erection), Low Testosterone, and Premature Ejaculation. General Physicians or urologists are ideal for other problems, such as STD’s or urinary tract infections, but they may only see patients who experience ED, PE, and Low T once a month. At American Male Medical Clinics we treat men just like you several thousand times per year. Our experience makes a difference in your successful treatment.

I’ve tried Viagra®, Levitra®, Cialis® but they didn’t work for me. Also, I’ve tried herbal capsules advertised on TV, which didn’t work either. What can American Male Medical Clinics offer me that may work for my problem?

Herbal formulas are neither effective nor safe, and the unregulated chemicals and herbs within them may be harmful to you and should certainly be avoided. The FDA has not approved them as medication. American Male Medical Clinics offer FDA approved compound medications specifically designed to work when Viagra®, Levitra®, Cialis® do not. These are safe and clinically proven to be successful for problems exactly like yours.

What if I suffer from other ailments, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, prostate problems and/or removal, or if I take medications for those conditions? Can American Male Medical Clinics still help me?

American Male Medical Clinics’ physicians are experienced at helping men with these same type of problems. Our medications will work for most men with these medical conditions or who are taking medications for these problems. Even when other meds have failed American Male Medical Clinics has a solution for YOU!

My relationship is suffering because I am experiencing Premature Ejaculation. How do you treat this?

Commonly, anti-depressants have been a popular method of “curing” PE. One of the more typical side effects of anti-depressants is delayed ejaculation. But, most include a long list of side effects including decreased libido, drowsiness, nausea, sweating, and even delirium. Because of this, American Male Medical strongly advises against using anti-depressants for the treatment of premature ejaculation. We evaluate your condition and discuss your individual needs. Then we will prescribe for you a custom-formulated medication that will allow you to maintain a safe, penetrable erection anywhere from a half hour up to two hours – it’s YOUR choice.

How Can I Tell if I Have Low Testosterone?

Symptoms include lack of energy, increased body fat, loss of muscle mass, decreased sexual desire, tiredness, moodiness, inability to sleep and other debilitating conditions.

Testosterone levels can be determined by a simple blood test. If you have symptoms associated with low testosterone or andropause, American Male Medical recommends getting a blood test from our licensed physicians as soon as possible.

What are the benefits of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)?

TRT can improve:

  • Sex drive
  • Energy level
  • Mental clarity
  • Fat Loss
  • Gains in muscle mass
  • Sleep quality
  • Bone density
  • Memory
  • Concentration

What are the TRT options?

American Male Medical offers both injection and topical testosterone administration options. Injection is long-lasting, has a 100% success rate in providing useable hormone, requires a dosage interval of only once each week, and is low in cost. Topical options allow absorption through the skin and are administered in low daily doses.

What will happen if I don’t treat my Testosterone levels?

Your testosterone levels will continue to reduce. Your symptoms may remain the same or worsen depending upon your response to depletion of testosterone. If your testosterone levels are low, American Male Medical recommends you seek consultation as soon as possible.

I have prostate cancer, can I receive TRT?

Men with a history of prostate cancer or breast cancer are absolutely not candidates for testosterone therapy. The testosterone can make both of these hormonally sensitive cancers grow more rapidly. However, if you are experiencing lack of or a limited erection caused by prostate surgery, we offer a guaranteed solution to help you get and maintain a penetrable erection.

Will I have to go back to the doctor to have the treatment administered?

No, you will be shown how to administer the testosterone.

What happens on my initial visit for ED, PE, or Low T?

On Your First Visit We Will:

  • Evaluate your condition and understand your unique needs.
